Lord of Hosts

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the work of your hands. How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be for ever destroyed. But you, O LORD, are exalted for ever. For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. You have exalted my horn [ Horn here symbolises strength. ] like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.

Lustless love between a husband and wife is not impossible. He has risen to a higher state after countless births in the brute creation. He is born to stand, not to walk on all fours or crawl. Bestiality is as far removed from manhood as matter from spirit. A tribute of Mohanmala. A Psalm of Asaph. Asaph no doubt saw around him much bribery and corruption, and while David punished it with the sword, he resolved to scourge it with a prophetic psalm.

The Psalms
A Rebuke of Unjust Judgments
A Psalm of Asaph.
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty;

he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly,

and accept the persons of the wicked?Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless:

do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy:

rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand;

they walk on in darkness:
all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; Joh. 10.34

and all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But ye shall die like men,

and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth:

for thou shalt inherit all nations.
