Barsana Laage, Ishwari and Apoorva dancers. Kathak Kajree, a style that captures the mood of rain.

Dekh sabe srishti ko bhesa, See the one who creates this world. Chathaka mor pithadam, like a proud peacock pritham hara shyam shaaje, to Lord Krishna we lose our souls in order to decorate him. Barsan laagi badariya rhoom jhoom ke, The clouds gather in splendor, badal garaje, bijuri chamake, as they thunder lightning strikes, bolan lagi koyelia jhoom jhoom ke and the koyel bird sings, barsan laagi badariya rhoom jhoom ke aangiyan bheeje, chunar bheeje, the roads are full of water and ruined clothing. Jhulan laagi punariya jhoom jhoom ke because of which the penitent’s work is made difficult. Barsan laagi badariya rhoom jhoom ke. The clouds gathered in splendor.

The Theogony of Hesiod, translated by Hugh G. Evelyn-White [1914] http://www.sacred-texts.com/cla/hesiod/theogony.htm

hopeofhesiodFrom the Heliconian Muses let us begin to sing, who hold the great and holy mount of Helicon, and dance on soft feet about the deep-blue spring and the altar of the almighty son of Cronos, and, when they have washed their tender bodies in Permessus or in the Horse’s Spring or Olmeius, make their fair, lovely dances upon highest Helicon and move with vigorous feet. Thence they arise and go abroad by night, veiled in thick mist, and utter their song with lovely voice, praising Zeus the aegis- holder and queenly Hera of Argos who walks on golden sandals and the daughter of Zeus the aegis-holder bright-eyed Athene, and Phoebus Apollo, and Artemis who delights in arrows, and Poseidon the earth-holder who shakes the earth, and reverend Themis and quick-glancing Aphrodite, and Hebe with the crown of gold, and fair Dione, Leto, Iapetus, and Cronos the crafty counsellor, Eos and great Helius and bright Selene, Earth too, and great Oceanus, and dark Night, and the holy race of all the other deathless ones that are for ever. And one day they taught Hesiod glorious song while he was shepherding his lambs under holy Helicon, and this word first the goddesses said to me — the Muses of Olympus, daughters of Zeus who holds the aegis:

The Master of the Universe listens. Look the heavens appreciate HIS mighty Hand thundering Holy One, Holy One, Holy One. Those who came with nothing got water in plenty. All the river beds are full separating man from his surroundings. God came and gave his gift explaining suffering to mankind. To everyone HE gives nectar grateful that we all are for it. From the heavenly temple HE came and gathered sweetness in order to give to his devotees for ridding the world of evil and sin. Those who disobey are sent down the wrong path until they have repented.  The Lord of All listens to his servants. The Heavens thundered, Holy One, Holy One, O Holy One. The One who sits on the lap of Heavens, gathered nectar for giving it to His devotees. The Heavens obeyed to remove evil. Without discipleship no one can build a temple. How can anyone accomplish this without HIM. The temple in the Heavens is always illuminated, this is what a Master, Swami, teaches his students as truth, water. I am Thee resounds tripuki filling the earth with wonder. The Goddess of Wealth Laxmi  thereby attains everlasting happiness and beauty. Thus spoke Kabir the poet, look at the Eternal who is usually unapproachable. Day and night seek for signs of immortality. The Lord listens to all his pupils. The Heavens adored, Glory, Glory Glory to You, O Holy One of All.
